UPDATE: For those who don't know the history of this car, it was a factory Porsche street legal racer. There were only 50 produced and they weighed less than 1300 LBS. About 220 HP stock.

Ohhh...
I simply wouldn't believe it, it would have to be a kit car in my eyes if I saw it, just to avoid the need for a new pair of pants.

And I thought my 924 was tiring to drive in traffic. Holy cow.

Nope. It's an elaborate perspective-morphed picture of a Hot Wheels car. Any sane person knows that the Porsche 906 only ever existed as a Hot Wheels car.

Well and Alpine A110 1600SC weight less than 1500lbs and that's with Safety equipment such as standard roll hoop and such... It's just that today cars are so filled with electronics that manufacturers don't know how to build a truly light car...

As mentioned in another answer, Alpine A110 1600SC, less than 1500lbs with roll hoop and so on... Manufacturers don't know how to build light cars anymore :)

Let's see.
Probably only 30 survived.
Of those, maybe 10 are on the street.

I remember a story by Jeff Zwart about driving one from LA to Monterey some years back & thought it was the coolest thing possible on public roads. Don't think it was this one.
